Yacht Club Alghero

The Yacht Club Alghero carries out weekly and bi-weekly courses and individual lessons for the beginner and advanced alike. Open to any one who, from the age of 6 and up, knows how to swim. The courses are taught by instructors licensed by the Italian Sailing Federation, with assistance from student teachers and according to Federation curricula. The theory lessons are held at the center, the practice sessions on the Alghero Rada (roadstead).

Initiation
Theory lessons for those with no sailing experience.
Specialisation courses
Theory and practice lessons for students who have passed the beginner course and who have demonstrable basic knowledge of sailing navigation.

Competition level

Theory and practice lessons for those who have passed the specialisation course or who have a demonstrable proficiency as a bowman or helmsman.

Competitions

For several years now Yacht Club Alghero has had youth teams from various divisions (Optimist, Laser, 420, Windsurf) led by specialised instructors and which can be tried out for after having attended summer sailing courses. The members of the teams have free use of the club's equipment and organize winter training sessions.
